An eclectic town, celebrating art, theatre and community, Encinitas has something to offer all ages. La Paloma Theatre is one of the most interesting historic sites for the whole family, offering the latest films, independent films and midnight rocky horror. It has been in operation since 1927 and still shows modern shows in an old fashioned, fun environment, one of the last theaters in the United States with a film projector.

Encinitas is located north of Solana Beach and just south of the coastal town of Carlsbad. The city spans over 20 square miles of coastal and rugged inland terrain. It is surrounded by the Batiquitos and San Elijo Lagoon to the North and South.
